This is a difficult announcement to write. Julie and I have made the decision to close Sanctuary Spas & Re-Creation. Our last planned day of operation is November 14.

Nearly ten years ago, I started this business with a Toyota Echo as a service vehicle and a small storage locker in Saskatoon for a “shop.” I wanted to provide for my family by doing work I knew and serving people well. As the business grew, I tried to keep that approach at its heart: understand what people needed, give honest advice, and help them find a solution that made sense for them.

We have worked hard to find a sustainable path forward, but we have reached the point where continuing would ask more of our family than we can give. It is time to close.

There is real sadness in that. We have poured nearly a decade of work, hope, and ourselves into this business, and saying goodbye hurts. Alongside that sadness, though, Julie and I feel ready. We are looking forward to having more room for our family, finding our footing in what comes next, and beginning a new chapter together.

From our beginnings in Saskatoon, through our years in Martensville, to our store in Warman, many people have helped us build this business. To everyone who has supported us, worked alongside us, or recommended us to a friend: thank you. It has made a difference.

We would love to see you before we close, whether you need something for your hot tub or simply want to stop in and say hello.

In the coming days, we will share details about our closing sale, along with information for customers regarding warranties and what to expect moving forward. Today, we simply wanted to let you know what is happening and thank you for being part of these nearly ten years.
